Animal Stuff manufactures 3 categories of pet stairs –

1. Original "Bear’s Stairs™"
2. Value Line Steps
3. Eco-Friendly Steps

We have the most extensive line of pet steps on the market today.

1. ORIGINAL "BEAR’S STAIRS™"  PRODUCTS – Standard, Dog, Mini, Midi, Tiny:

These steps are made of wood and are covered with plush, cut-pile commercial carpet in 5 standard colors and 2 optional animal prints. Optional backs can be ordered for the original Bear’s Stairs.  These carpet shades will vary from time to time; however, most shades are in the medium range. Original steps  are available in the following sizes:

Standard 2, 3 and 4 step – for dogs up to 49 lbs. and longer dogs such as dachshunds.

Dog 2 and 3 step - For the largest dogs or long dogs such as Bassett Hounds. Can easily support 250 lbs.


"Bear’s Stairs™" Mini and Midi Steps:

Midi stairs have the same overall dimensions as mini steps but are 4 inches wider. Mini and midi steps come in the following sizes:

Mini 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 step - for cats and small dogs up to 20 lbs.  Mini 6, 7 and 8 stairs have backs.  Backs are optional on other models.
Midi 3, 4, and 5 step – for cats and small dogs up to 20 lbs.

"Bear’s Stairs™" Tiny Series:

The Tiny steps are angled like household steps, and backs are standard. Tiny stairs come in the following sizes:

Tiny 4 and 6 - For cats and small dogs up to 12 lbs.

The Original "Bears Stairs™" steps uses a plush cut-pile commercial carpet.  This carpet is very dense and is very durable.  It will last up to 10 times longer when subjected to rough use.

2. "BEAR’S STAIRS™" VALUE LINE STEPS - Mini, Bear 3

The Value Line steps are constructed from OSB and needle punch carpet which is similar to automobile carpeting. These are less costly materials that do not impact the reliability of the item itself. The carpet is thinner than the standard commercial carpet so the screws will be more visible. However, from a short distance away the Value Line looks very similar to the standard Bear’s Stairs models. Value Line steps can be only ordered in beige, and backs are not available.

The Value Line steps are available in the following sizes:

Mini 3, 4, 5 – for cats and dogs up to 20 lbs
Standard Bear 3 step – for dogs up to 49 lbs and longer dogs such as dachshunds.

The carpet used in Value Line is a much thinner and lighter weight carpet then either the commercial or household carpet used in the ECO line.  Visually from a few away it is hard to tell much difference between the Value Line Carpet and the commercial carpet.  This carpet is similar to carpet found in cars and in fact some of it was labeled for used by one of the automakers. The obvious problem with this carpet is that staples used to secure the carpet are more visible than with either the commercial or house-hold carpet.

3. "BEAR’S STAIRS™" ECO-FRIENDLY STEPS - Standard, Dog, Mini, Midi, Tiny:
 

The newest additions to our pet stairs line are environmentally friendly. The carpet used on these steps is Mohawk everSTRAND™. everSTRAND™ carpet fiber is extruded from recycled plastic bottles and contains 100% post-consumer recycled content. Additional step construction is from OSB. OSB is made from small, fast-growing trees with a recycled content of up to 75%. This reduces the demand for old growth timber. Eco-friendly steps are available in beige only, and optional backs are available. The carpet pile is somewhat thicker than commercial so screw indentations are less likely to be seen. This shade is a standard carpet color so future orders will match older orders The Eco-Friendly stairs are available in the same sizes as the original Bear’s Stairs products.
  

This is the everSTRAND™  household type carpet.  This carpet is woven somewhat looser than commercial carpet and  typically has a higher loop.  While not as durable as  commercial carpet, staples and screws used in the manufacturing process tend to completely disappear.
